David Gillespie's rating:
"transformers will pass 17.5 watts RMS into an 8Ω secondary load from 20 Hz to 20 kHz without waveform deviation (nearly 20 watts at 20 Hz), and importantly, without any parasitic oscillations as clipping is approached, reached, and exceeded, most notably at 20 Hz, where such oscillations are most likely to occur. The transformers produce an excellent 10 kHz square wave with no ringing on either the top or bottom of the waveform with 20 db of NFB applied around them, and also importantly, produce absolute load stability in this scenario, with no tendency towards outright oscillation with any value of capacitive only loading connected. The finished 1 watt frequency response is flat from 20 Hz to 20 kHz,, down 0.3 db at 30 kHz, and -1 db at 40 kHz. The phasing and lead color coding of the transformers is correct, making these transformers a perfect drop in replacement for the original Z-565 transformers, and producing all of the performance offered by the original pieces."
